Lastshadow,

I agree with all of your points except one. And just so we understand each other, I can HONESTLY say that I have NEVER ONCE shorted ANY stock in my life, including this one. That isn't my investment style but I will say that 15 to 4 1/2 was a very worthwhile short for somebody just as a 4 1/2 to 15 climb would be for us. My experience with debentures and shorts has been very unpleasant. It's up to Markman to drive the shorts away and keep them afraid of this stock, by becoming unpredictable. If these guys get kicked in the wallet a few times like the longs have, they'll leave. It's that simple.

>Once played, that money needs to be effectively reemployed. languishing in a short position that isn't moving doesn't do anything but increase risk.<

So does hanging on to a stock that you're already way up on. This is where I disagree with you. Some of these guys have the patience of Jobe!!!! These guys are a different breed. If they get a boner for a stock, they can hang around forever. But if half of them leave, we'll be happy. Do you see my point?

Good luck,

P.S. My cautionary statements about the debenture activity and the shorts is my way of trying to spread the experience of a few hard knocks for everyone's benefit. If you accuse me of bad intentions again, you'll make an enemy. Good Night. : )
