The only reason to own CMGI.........

If you believe that the net is for real and NOT a tulip story then you MUST own shares of CMGI. This is the best diversified internet play you can own. If you buy GCTY and they miss a quarter, it's over, if you buy LCOS and they do a dumb ass deal with Barry Diller, it's over if you invst in any single net play and they fall out of favor you can see your investment shrink to nothing. OTOH if you want to own a GIANT basket of some of the hottest real estate on the NET then buy CMGI, put it away and forget about it. I have traded this stock too many times and if I had just ignored the noise and sat with my original position I would be way ahead of the game.

Sure it's nice to see your stock go up like it did today, but remember, only NET sellers want a stock to keep going up. Buy a little
tomorrow and either average up or down on a periodic basis until you build your position. DO NOT TRY AND TIME THIS STOCK! Many a genius though that he or shen picked the top last Friday and sold at the close, and then look what happened today. You never know.

The biggest risk that you run is that David Whetherill will appear on the cover of a major business publication and that is the KISS OF DEATH!

Good luck and buy some CMGI tomorrow, one year from today you will NOT regret it!

If I were you, I would wait to buy CMGI. I say that because I believe CMGI will fill its gap in the low 150's. It's a large gap, followed by heavy buying fueling an extremely sharp rise in share price.

Obviously, CMGI can't sustain such increases. And, given the chart on this stock, a return to the 150's is a probability.

That's how I'm playing it, anyway. CMGi is an extremely strong Internet company, but I always try to remember that a company and its stock price are not the same thing -- not in the short-term, at least.

All just my opinion, of course. Good luck to you.
