I was having people bring me reds whenever they went out of State, which I took interest in. "I've never had a drink." I quit drinking by the time I was eighteen, when everyone expected us to begin; and I could say, "I don't drink." Pretty convincingly, if you didn't look at my hair. Beer was useful, earlier, only as a sort of propellant.
