Brian, I understand. What you point out is a typical event when it comes to these bake-offs. The testers select some equipment - maybe not even a representative sample of the equipment available and then perhaps don't even test the products completely or adequately. I find that these bake-offs and market analysis reports don't translate well into valuations. I don't think customers, whether they're enterprise or SP, purchase products based upon independent bake-offs or on what an analyst writes. Rather most customers do they're own due dilligence and purchase the product that best addresses their application. I thought however that that aritcle would be of some interest to those on the thread. For me, I was surprised that GDC was even still alive.... Who'dofthunk! OG

Brian,<The bottom line for this performance is that the ATM cards were not ready for the 9000 and the testers knew this but failed to mention it. The product that Ascend uses in this scenario is the 500.> The same we can say with respect to others vendors. New switch from NN 50 Gig was not ready yet(will hit market in few months) Everybody supplied the best at that time.The test was the same for all vendors and each of them has time and people to prepare equipment for testing.
