Dear Tif, OT
Last night I went to listen to Jack Welch (CEO of GE) speak, woo wee is he a funny guy, no kidding a great sense of humor. Anyway, some of his observations about business & markets:
1. Invest when something isn't favorable eg: They invested heavily in Europe to the tune of 30 bill a few years back, during the last 6 months they have spent 16 bill in Japan. He said, we won't always time everything perfectly but anyone can buy something when everyone else is.
2. When he decides what to invest in whether that be a business, market or personel, he looks for intellect and energy.
3. IMO an interesting comment: He said CNBC would be making more $ then NBC by the end of 1999.
4. MSNBC.com earns 50 mill in banner revies
If you ever get the chance to listen to this guy do so, a way interesting dude ;).
Have a great Tuesday,, L & $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ WCTI,, Barbara
