Have you noticed the rash of "optimistic about Asia" press releases over the last couple days?

I guess Gates visits and cpq, psft, dell, etc. have to say "me too"

That writedown is as bogus as a three dollar bill. You are "fishing without bait" on this one.

Earlie, perhaps, as I am not an accountant, and don't profess to know much in this area.

But facts are facts. CPQ layed off thousands of DEC employees, and scrapped the PC business, AFTER the merger. Not sure how this relates to "write-offs", but these are indisputable facts.
