JZ, I read the whole thing, not bad at all! He knows his ways around fairly well in networking as far as I can judge.

I don't think that he was willing to pay "just" 10 3/8 for MMCN. He made the assumption that MMCN was going to get creamed for no good reason when Intel bought out Level One. Putting in the buy order for MMCN at 10 3/8 was a good move if you think it will be pummeled for no real reason...........and then spring right back. Remember, buy low; sell high.
