Initial DMS-500 deployment will occur in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The new switching systems augment CenturyTel's extensive local infrastructure, including Nortel Networks' DMS-100 high-density local switches; DMS-10 low-density local switches; the DMS-MTX digital mobile switching system; S/DMS TransportNode OC-3 Express, OC-12, and OC-48 optical network systems; and the AccessNode local access mediation systems.
