Dear Gene: Have you given consideration to those box companies who stuck their necks out to take on AMD product and NOW the product will NOT be available on time? Whack, off goes the neck and guess who gets their NEXT order? Failure to deliver timely is the problem for AMD it will effect their future orders. IMHO of course. JDN

Gene, >>> But where did this "seasonal decrease" in revenues come from? A check will show that Q1'98 was the first time in the past five years that Q1 revenues were lower than the prior quarter.<<<

If you take a closer look (say last five years) Intel revenue growth has averaged ~35%. Q1 growth has been seasonally flat (+ or - 10%).

And, of course that includes the 97/98 distortion/debacle caused by Eckhard Pfeifer's channel stuffing in the 4Q of '97.

>>>Does that make me an AMD lover?<<<

No, but what does that say about your "love/hate" relationship with Intel <gggg>?

Regards,

Mary

Gene - Re: "Does that make me an AMD lover? You be the judge. ;-)"

You've been BLOWING the AMD horn for a couple of years now.

We KNOW what that makes you.
