Thanks for the posting, Sly. It's about time corporate America makes these anonymous, online rumor mongers accountable. Slander and defamation in cyberspace [the essence of that posting you shared] should not be permitted.

The article says the company is going after 9 John Does at the Yahoo zoo. It will be interesting to see how this case develops. I understand that Yahoo permits a person to use a number of handles. I'm wondering the actual number of real people represented by those 9 handles.

At the end it says Yahoo is not part of the suit at this point. Reading between the lines, I'm seeing the time when places like Yahoo and SI get dragged into cases because as maintainers of these stock discussion sites, they are ultimately responsible for what goes on. Let's face it, its not like sites such as SI and RB [I don't know about Yahoo] lack an address for subscribers to report infractions of the rules or make comments on trouble makers.
