Hi Mohan: Looks like Michael Dell graduated from School of Diplomacy magna cum laude. Yesterday CFO of Gateway was interviewed by Maria B. "What do you think the price of your stock?" The answer "Gateway stock is indervalued. Compare that to our competitor which has much higher mutiple than ours." About 10 days ago MCD had a studio interview with radio station KNX Los Angeles. "What do you think the price of Dell as compared to Gateway? Is Gateway undervalued or Dell overvalued?" MCD answer "Look at the S&P about their growth rates and the multiple and you can see that Dell stock is undervalued." Good answer Michael. He did not bad mouth his competitor, yet gave a postive and honest evaluation. Paul. Note: Not verbatim.
