The HP takeover rumours have been rampant at and around Novell since last Wednesday. In fact the rumours are actually settling down finally.

The acquisition of Novell by HP would only be good for HP and not Novell. It would dilutes NOVL's quickening momentum in the industry whereas HP has been a company with no real purpose in life for the past 1-2 years.

I think that this is only a rumour and will eventually go away in the next week.
