I'm glad you brought up the issue of debt...it helps bring home my point about economic inefficiency in today's stock market. Do Internet companies have to issue debt? No...they are so well-capitalized they don't have to. Moreover, Internets don't add any "brick and mortar" contribution to the real economy, in fact sometimes they take that away. And, Yahoo may add excitement, but how is it contributing to the rest of the economy?

So all the capital in Internet cos. is locked up doing essentially nothing, except sometimes being used as inflated currency to exchange for other similar companies...what effects will this have in the long run?

I realize most people do not understand the purpose of capitalization in the overall economy, they only think about stock prices going up...
