Zeus,
very good point in your 3019. I had forgotten about that. Many large suppliers, like Walmart, want to have financially strong suppliers. As a matter of fact, I have done the following myself. I had a solid supply contract with a major company. I took that contract to the local bank, and they loaned me major long-term money based on the contract. How could I have forgotten that myself?
Good post.
Perhaps, and this may be a close guess, Mr. Gayle is spread very thin. Many small business owners are not as versed in financing as they should be. He, I understand, has a chemical engineering background, which is good. That shows an analytical mind. Great. He probably found out about the struggling company in Atlanta that had this technology being developed for the US Army by some investors, who had Coke Cola-bred management skills, but didn't have the time or interest to take the technology to commercialization. In steps Mr. Gayle. Fast forward to present times.
The company is short on capital to develop the products and bring them to market in a big way. Enter Rizzo and Russo. Does this sound like something out of the "Godfather"? Russo is located on Staten Island. Not to sound off about Staten Island(SI), all you New Yorkers, but SI is not known as the borough of financial power, Manhattan is.
Now, I realize that this last comment is open to misinterpretation. I am not trying to disparage SI.
I believe that Mr. Gayle may have run into some characters that we would not deposit our life's earnings with. Now, I emphasize that this is total guessing on my part, and I hope I am wrong. But I may be right.
