Thom Pittman; ie: next entry point ? - good question .... I don't know at this second.... Oil up big overnight - this is great news. But, The Street.Com had negative news on RIG - potentially new lower earnings revisions - could see $18 that many have predicted -(Gary's EW - on the money again ?)... IMHO - it's a mixed bag.... still lots of speculation on OPEC cutting - Irans baseline appears to be getting settled with a compromise - but that will NOT make those who have met quotas real happy. Now Venezeula is taking a no cut stance - political jockeying/pre-meeting positioning ? .. Absolutely. Cuts are not in the bag - but the prices here reflect that ! Oil prices can have lots of movement from only pre-meeting short covering; I 'd watch the stockprices and size of the bids-volume today & not Oil Prices... If we ''pop'' on low volume & don't have any nice block buying - I'm on the sidelines - imitating ''Sitting Bull'' ! I am trolling for E&P micro caps - I have a ''double'' now in FEN - a high speculation stock - not endorsing anyone buying here - I have a zero cost basis now by taking profits... there are solid fundamental laggards out there - that's where I feel warm & comfy right now... But, I am trading here - I would expect a nice pop today - I may daytrade a few; but this is ''not'' the spot I want to make a large bet yet. Buying one of yesterdays stocks that sold off to a major degree would be a nice bounce play - but I would probably take profits again intra-day if we reverse, or the size of the bids dry up. If we close well - I would hold overnight - but I will sell/take profits again on any 2-3 day runs of 10% +/- in ANY stock.... just my take & .02 cents fwiw Again; anyone who owns at the bottom - is fine; not trying to rain on any parades - I just don't see how anyone buys CAM as an example here on a pop today .... too easy to blow off $3-4-5 real fast if negative OPEC news comes out... Does anyone really think CAM, or SLB is cheap here ? VTS yes - SLB, CAM- no - that is the $64 question - there are values and then there are "VALUES"... if OPEC does not cut - who goes into freefall - I think CAM is a ''duck'' at $30... Well - we got our opening pop as I post.... ! good luck - lots of ways to play - I have my way & hope everyone has their's and makes some BLACK GOLD ! HOOO HAHHHH !
