Last week I put up a plaintive lamentation here about how I can't get a good handle on AMAT's moves over the near term and implied its volatility is well directed by some big money.

Yesterday I sold some AMAT because I felt it not only had come too far too fast but was due for a correction greater than that of the last 2 weeks.

Also, AMAT presented at the MSDW (?) conference this AM in California. I suspected the stock would run up prior to this presentation and, then, based on the statements made, go quickly either up or down.
I had it in the back of my head to sell if it began to plunge.

Unfortunately we had quite a blizzard back here and when I returned just now from my snow blowing chores I see that AMAT is off its 67 high to 60+.

Now, where do we go from here? If you are a trader you can't blink these days...... If you are an investor you have to realize that AMAT has never been this high in the past (split adjusted) and is trading on what 2000-2002 profits might be.
