Echelon Corp....This company, run by Ken Oshman of Rolm fame has never made a dime either as a private or a public company. Deal barely got done last summer....Company missed 1st Q out a terrible sign.

More importantly, what ran the stock up in January was the daytrading community misinterpreting what was happening at CES and with CSCO (ie the internet-connected toaster/alarm system/whatever for your house). Those announcements were non-revenue events.

ELON makes industrial controls, mainly for HVAC applications, but also for other things, similar to AMXX.

Motorola, a large shareholder in ELON has terminated production of their joint product...the Neuron chip. Toshiba is still currently producing Neuron chips.

The company presented to institutional investors at the Montgomery Conference in the beginning of February and did not disclose the MOT announcement. Someone had to call them on it at the breakout session.

Its a crappy company, always has been, and the WebTv "news" is nothing you can't do with a computer and an X10 system right now...or just an X10 system without the computer...
