G'day all - Jim, actually, while KYA27 has his/her personal agenda, it is good to see DWDM being brought up, irrespective of the truth of the allegation. To begin with, even if NT has 40% of the market, it is vital for her to continue the leading edge push. Remember, before Mr Roth, the downfall of NT was sitting on her hands for too long.

Having said that, it is plain silly to think trashing NT in this thread [or any thread, for that matter, or hyping any company, for that matter] will affect the company or the performance of the stock. The only real consequence is the revelation of how infantile the mentality. It is the moral equivalence of saying "my daddy is bigger than your daddy!" <vbg>

Anyway, back to NT proper. I am glad to see NT and INTC are getting closer. If the BAY oldtimers recalls, I ve actually hoped for an BAY-INTC marriage, but the more I learn about NT, it is fine by me. While Voice and Data networking are still on the consolidation phase, I can see another megatrend developing. Networking on silicon will be the next phase of mega merger. So it is great to be on the top tier of the alliance.

best, Bosco
