In addition to the new orders being reported - Merrill's bulletin also contains a significant ramped up earnings view for next year to $1.34 EPS (up from $1.00). We're easily talking a $65-75 stock value *today* again. $1.34 x 50 = $67.00 per share.

With respect to inventories - the company wrote off everything plus the kitchen sink last quarter. Much of that write-off had to do with this 5000 series I thought. That would suggest that margins going forward will be strengthened as a result.

I can't believe anyone would think that the company is anything but a 10 in inventory (on a scale of 1-10), both, internally as well as in the pipeline and at the stepper manufacturers. Laggard bear arguments still trying to deny reality on inventory are simply self-delusional indulgences.
