No it is not basic logic. The fact is, the govt of this country is led by congressional leaders from a few states, and is based on their own presence in congress vs. how powerful their state is. Right now we have an overrepresentation from the south. This is doubly insulting because 1) we should have better, unilateral representation and 2) the south doesn't represent leadership of this country - economically, educationally, anywhere actually. Barr's and Lott's reality is not my reality. Clinton being from the south is not a problem because he is elected by the entire country. I am confident the country would not cast a vote for Tom Delay.
