Keep a tight rein, Planter:
Perhaps we assumed the track would be dry, the day crystal clear, and all the jockies were of equal ability. Actually, the track is a little muddy.
But we're on a mud-runner. The legs look strong to me; and the trainers are excellent.
Put the blinders on our pick, and don't let him be frightened by the other plow horses on the track.
