Dear Cheeky: Aw Jeez, this is going to disappoint Cheryl. (just kidding CK-checking to see if your lurking-haha)
Seriously did you note that he excepted Power Industry and Jenkins when asked seemed to only be really concerned about the Power Industry. At least everyone seems to be singing the same song. JDN

Amazing how DeJaeger suddenly turned around. He's trying to claim that his message what "If we don't fix this, then it could be a disaster".

However, he seems to be retreating from his other statements about how most IT projects come in overbudget and overscheduled.

I also note the lack of discussion about the economic consequences from Asian and European lethargy and tardiness vis-a-vis Y2K (Note that Italy only formed its preliminary commission on Y2K on January 14th).

I personally never thought we were talking about "doomsday" here. I was never firmly in that camp (and that has caused me considerable friction in some of my online conversations).

However, I do not discount the disruption that may occur in other economies and my personal sources seem to confirm that concern.

DeJaeger was heavily criticized as someone who was just out to make a buck on the Y2K "hype".

His recent comments have me wondering who is paying him now.

Regards,

Ron
