Interesting snippet from a Usernet post:

" . . . there's a company that produces sells a small, effective
fingerprint system for $50. It rocked and I got excited. Unfortunately it's all MS-based. I asked about Linux and the sales guy exploded. I was the zillionth person to ask, and he didn't get the hint that they'd make a load of cash if they supported Unix. The MS-based sales were not going good at that show. Too bad. I would have bought the $500 developer package on the spot if I could get shared libraries. The guy was such a jerk I don't have any information on the company. (I hope he gets fired. He was a serious liability at that show.)"

_______

Could well be Identicator. However, I don't think that passing up one at a time sales to hobbyists is the worst marketing choice in the world.

David,

From the DBII press release....

The action that ANADAC brought against the INS may have an impact on the delivery schedule previously announced, and the legal expenses incurred by DBI will increase G&A expense for Digital Biometrics for the quarter ending March 31, 1999.

Let me just say....."Hardy har har har.....What goes around comes around"

Oh well....they can add it into their accumulated $41 million in losses....or take it out of their $450,000 in cash they have left.

ps. Jean......The stage coach left this morning.
