thanks, otter, for taking the time to crunch the numbers on the wags.

i didn't contribute a wag, but remain confident that we will substantially surpass the $500,000.00 benchmark.

this is all great fun, but the number i really care about will be the Q4 '99 number. (this interim stuff is interesting, but not terribly revealing vis-a-vis gmgc's long term prospects.)

i am a long term investor. i am in for 2 to 5 years, perhaps longer. i happily accept the opportunity to accumulate at these bargain basement prices -- so shorts, please keep up the obnoxious fearmongering..... (only kidding)

since i don't care for my profits to be taxed at levels above the applicable long term capital gains rate, i am content to wait this drama out.

markman -- the deliberately and consistently UNDERstated ceo -- has advised us that when the time is ripe, the announcements "will FLOW..." he didn't say MAY flow, he said WILL flow. right now, the gmgc partners are handcuffing our company from sharing any real news. this will change, but only when our partners are prepared to hit the market and authorize the release of the news. a likely scenario (imho) is the simultaneous rollout by multiple telcos of their version of the portico/magictalk service, combined with the promised news cascade. when this occurs, the stock will rocket. it may happen in a matter of days, weeks or months -- but, it WILL happen. markman has essentially promised this by virtue of the above quote.

think about it, friends.............

i've got my cache of gmgc stock, and i'm bunkered down for the duration...... as long as it takes.

Sea Otter

I've been following this board and GMGC since it's inception. I believe you've been one of the key cheerleaders of this company. I really don't see how you could make a statement like "Personally, if GMGC fails to meet 500K I will reconsider my position in the firm."

Even if they fail to meet 500k, with all of the great alliances: WK, Intuit, et. al. isn't this short sighted of you and sending the wrong messages?

Sea Otter,

With your usually well reasoned posts why would you put all your eggs into Portico revenue from Oct-Dec 98? Whether it's 500k or 1000k or 1700k for those 3 months, does that really control your outlook on this stock? Or is it just the weight of this big rock we're under?

Hi;

Just want to get my 2 cents in here. Just to be different and to take optimism to a new level, I'm going to say $2.1 million.

From information I've received from this board and from a past meeting with GMGC, I think there are around 20K Portico subscribers. This number is not hard, it's completely inferred. Let's say, though, that there were only 8K paying users on average for the quarter. Portico is an expensive service. I don't think it's far-fetched to say that each of these real users paid $75 per month. That's $1.8M for the three months. Also, along my optimistic lines, I think they'll announce some kind of a deal along with some prepaid revenues of $300K. What the hell.

I don't see any way GMGC will come in below the $1M. I put my money where my mouth is this morning by buying another 5K shares at $4. Yes, I'll be listening in on the call this afternoon.

Good luck all,

Drew
