OT --- Chuzz...Check This Out...

Here is a nice bearish forecast from one of those posters on the "Ask Michael Burke" thread:

<< ...the US economy is leveraged like never before. The timing issue gets tricky because our leaders appear to be going for broke -they want short term gain and disregard the lessons of history which tell us that the bursting of this bubble will have disastrous consequences. IMO Alan Greenspan has secured his place in history as the most reckless and irresponsible banker in history. I suspect the averages will suffer a severe decline and the economy will be impaired for years. I know you want a number so here is my guess- the Dow will hit the 3000 range again and the mother of all tops happens soon I guess. >>

Wow...do you think this prediction is from a "prudent bear?" ??..
I personally feel that the DOW will only see 3000 again if it splits 4 for 1 at the end of the year<ggg>.!!!

Regards,

Scott

<<Tice>>he was the "guru" on CNBC today saying 1929 is here again. Of
course, no one took the opportunity to point out the differences be-
tween now and then. This guy should go into permanent hibernation
along with that last perma-bear from Oppenheimer, Michael Metz--re-
member him? And Gail Dudack is well on her way too to being WRONG
most of the time.

Is there such thing as a prudent bear?! Sounds like overkill to me.

*OT* Chuzz- I love it! Tice compares his returns to the inverse Nasdaq.....why didn't I think of that? That makes me look much, much smarter than Warren Buffett...

Now is this a man you want to take advice from?

Having some more time on my hands now I find it once again amuzing to read your posts....you never cease to keep the investors on this thread informed of bad advice...Paul, you know I hate math...but, after viewing those links I get the strong impression if I had followed his advice and not the advice of this thread and the DELL management....well, let's just say I'd still be climbing ladders... :o)

Best, kemble
