Sarmad -- <In the last two weeks, the general market has zero influence.> I do not buy this at all. Lets say you are an analyst -- and to be a big deal you want people to follow your calls. Blodgett says AMZN will go up, it does, and he is worth $5 million a year. Some poor slob says it will go down, he gets fired. So as an analyst you must pick the points in the market where your comments are timed to coincide with potential moves in the market. Bodgett and Mary have done this well. Going from 199 to 84 gave Blodgett and Mary the perfect opportunity to look like they move the market. This is what a smart analyst does. AMZN followed the rout in the bond market, and then proceeded to turn before the turn in bonds, and in anticipation of this turn, combined with being oversold and ripe for a short covering rally. Its the market, not Blodgett.
