NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--As the big technology companies continue to invest heavily in personal computers and Y2K spending, they are heading for a downturn, according to Prudent Bear Fund market strategist David Tice.

"The technology stocks have had a huge run since the fourth quarter even as the fundamentals deteriorated," Tice said during a CNBC interview Tuesday. "We think that PC companies will be experiencing a nuclear winter coming up where there is a dramatic slowdown."
