Somebody once told me that a Hindu belief held that you are reincarnated as the last thing you think about. This perhaps was used as an incentive to think good thoughts at life's end. As our more polite generation died off (the ones who whispered a terminal "Oh, dear") we have been visited by a burgeoning population of whitetails. I agree with you - my last words would probably mirror your own. Is this the reason there is so much **** in America? :-)
