Bill -

I have used an ISDN line, dual channel for about a year now. I have my computer connected to the modem (3ComImpact IQ). I have two B channels that use Multilink PPP to create a single digital connection of 115200 for my computer. I can also connect up to two analog devices to the modem - I have a telephone connected and sometimes my laptop computer - dynamic bandwidth allocation allows me to send and receive calls on my phone or log onto the Internet via my laptop using the other analog port. I have never had a problem with data, my ISP or anything else with my setup. To the best of my knowledge call waiting is not a necessity.

Having said all this, we both realize that in this age of technological wonder there is no guarantee that another setup and equipment will perform as expected - just a fancy way to say it should work just fine but you will never know until you try.

Just make sure you pick a good ISP - an art form unto itself.

Best of Luck

Cormac
