You are 100% correct.

The problem is that for AMD to be a viable producer of CPU in the PC market they must go after Intel. And they have done so with considerable market share success. Now if they go after Intel like Reza seems to want, as a business competitor instead of Sanders's personal BS, then all the investor would be better off.

How would you expect AMD picking up the RIGHT fight?

Direct confrontation with Intel is unavoidable given MPU business is one of the more lucrative semi areas. Thus, the fight itself is a right one. The problem is that AMD did not manage to fight it right ALL THE TIME that turned investors off
