I had one of those couches. Mine was earthtone plaid- -Herculon. I thought it was so classy. I think it cost 200.00 and a matching chair came with it.

LAst night for some reason, instead of the Two Fat Ladies, I watched All in the Family. I laughed myself silly, while Dan lay there reading some philosophical book and looking at me with a disgusted expression. It was the episode where Gloria asks Archie and Meathead if they can solve that riddle--the one where a father and his son are in a car accident and the father dies and they take the boy to the hospital and the surgeon comes in and says, "I can't operate on this boy; he's my son." ANd of course, they can't figure it out-
"THe first father was a priest!"
No! HE was a step-father!"
"No! He didn't really die!"
ANd Edith says-" I got it! I got it! It has something to do with coming back again from the dead... you know, like that milk!"
EVeryone just looks at her, til Gloria says- "Oh, Ma, you mean Rein-CARNATION."
Well- I thought it was funny.
