To the Chapter 11 bunch: Please explain what the STOCK PRICE has to do with bankruptcy. Last I checked not one damn thing.

Bankruptcy is a function of debt. Excessive debt. And a cash flow positive company has absolutely no problem paying its debts. It doesn't matter if the stock price is 2 or 200.

Mike, in the last year they lost 231 million , most of it in write offs but they cannot continue to lose money and expect the share price to do anything but head south. Instant Karma type gratification I do not expect from any company that I buy. I was simply making a remark , that if no take over or merger talk or interest occurs if share price falls even further then we are in trouble. In fact I have sold some covered calls (April $10's for $.50) while I wait for the turn around. If I get called away I make around a grand, if not I reduce my price. This is my second round of calls on CS. What concerns me is this time I had to settle for $10 rather than $12.50 strike price to get my fifty cents. Instead of moving strike price up it is moving south. at any rate my average cost is being reduced ....

George

mike--

whoa....hold on a sec before you jump all over us.

i am not saying the company is going to see the judge, merely that we are at or very near a crux in the stock price. any news will send us much higher or much lower. from the way my analytics look, higher is the bias. today was a non-evemt or it would have fallen through 7.5.

good luck to all,
trey

Mike,

I never said anything about ch 11 with CS. I think the stock looks good and I am long CS also. You are right, cash in the bank: 216 M. That is a good chunk of change. They are not going to go away.
Two good press releases today also.
