Without volatility we traders cannot make an honest living.GBLX is meant for core positions and a little trading on the side does not hurt either.

I don't think it was the Lucent and Equant deals that spurred the latest appreciation. On February 24th, when it was announced that Annunziata would become CEO, the climb became earnest. Look at the volumes on GBLX up to that point, and after. That tells the story.

GBLX, pre-Annunziata, was relying on sales of raw capacity. Now, with the former T business services honcho on board, the vision for added network services becomes an additional growth factor.

The fact that "ignorant gamblers" show up on the message boards means not much. They're part of every stock, good and bad. Think of the ignorant gamblers who paid $38/share on Yahoo's first day of trading. I don't consider myself one of them.

For others who didn't notice, GBLX seems to have made a "cup-and-handle" formation (immediately following another), portending more bullishness. Here's GBLX vs. other favorites:
