Ah, but that's the beauty of direct selling. No channel distribution mark up, no retailer mark up, no sales force costs for internet sales, no inventory costs. All of these give direct sellers a huge advantage in an environment where PC are becoming commoditized. If I recall the figures correctly Dells ASP dropped from 2300 to 2250 (though it may have been 2400 to 2350, so I don't think their ASP will be anywhere near 2K next quarter. JMO Regards

Not price decline, but size of the decline. Pretty obvious that the environment in retail is more competitive therefore price decline more.
