When I dumped my COMS stock six months ago, in September, it was at the same price it is today. Yeah it went up between then and now, but I'm well ahead of where I'd be if I held and sold at the high. No...no COMS is not a good investment for the long term investor...that is a fundamental fact many investors here are upset with. Bruce Claflin may be just what you say he is...but he isn't the CEO. Eric is...IMO...a person who displays a short timers attitude, he has made his money, his mark and said two years or so back, that he didn't think he'd be still at 3Com in five years. Most likely he gave a longer time frame rather than a shorter one. Eric doesn't have the fire he had before, the drive isn't there. He had to be asleep at the switch when WS knew about the earnings short fall coming and the public didn't...at least the public didn't until it was questioned in the news and the chatrooms. Yes I do see it as Mr. Mark and others do...the share holders were raped...AND it wasn't by accident, nor is it the first time. He is responsible for causing great concern for the shareholders...some of whom sold at a loss in order to protect their savings. Just my 2¢...but I would feel like a fool to consider COMS as a long term investment, short term is where this stock is at...if one really cares to make profits...OR recap their losses. Btw. I wasn't sure I fit your criteria for replying to your post...but I did it with the qualifications of being a one time long...too many times screwed.
