If the FDA & XOMA thought that the death rate was approx 10% then the original number of 200 patients seems to point to 20 as the required number of deaths. Now we have surpassed 370 patients, nearly double the original number, and still not 20 deaths?!?? That would indicate to me the possibility that Neuprex is working very well. I think we are real close to the magic number and at the same time there is only a couple weeks left in this Meningo season. I think the trial will come to a conclusion at the end of this season...total deaths reached or not.
