Right you are, but it is not really ironic. The "junk company" and "junk product" are commonly held opinions by some knowledgeable, but they are, as always, opinions. Of course, if I wanted to go to the trouble of documenting the performance of those products against say, Compumotor or American Precision or Pacific Scientific, then these commonly held opinions would become understood and leave the realm of mere assertion. However, that usually isn't necessary. You don't usually have to ask a food critic to explain why they prefer cuisine to fast food. If you know about food, it's rather obvious.

The reference to the former President is a blatant ad hominem for which I make no apologies (I happen to know it is true). However, it is not libelous, for I have not averred anything as true that can be shown to be false, such as accusing him of a crime he did not commit. I have just stated that, in my opinion, for reasons of my own, I think little of him -- simple name calling. I suppose that, without more substance, this contributes little to the quality of the thread, and for that I do apologize. I don't want to just make noise.

Like KJC, I need to add a disclaimer to the end of my messages, so here it is:

DISCLAIMER: The views and opinions stated herein are most likely not those of the subject being criticized. These views and opinions are offered for their own value, little or much, to stimulate thought and sometimes simply to express the authors' feelings. Occasionally, during periods of high frustration or hormonal imbalance, they may get a little caustic. (The author is seeking help with his bouts of chronic political incorrectness and clear thinking.) They are almost always informed or they would not stated at all. They are usually without justification or defense, these typically requiring an inordinate amount of effort to provide (and take all the fun out of it). They almost always strike a chord in some, and dissonance in others. To all offended, please remember they are, after all, just opinions.

[No good. Way too long. I'll work on it...]
