at inflection points, many should be hoping for a blastoff (whether of long duration or short) We could be seeing that w/ so many bears around here turning short-term bullish for a crash-up (bulls of course are always looking for a melt-up) just like they were last July when the spike up failed unexpectedly. this one should fail much faster and trap many more suckers on the initial move down.

then again, maybe we'll be at DOW 10,000 by Friday. -g-

Vitas,

I agree with you completely on your assessment and how technicals can very easily be misread..... the immediate momentum is up and I'm long from 1227 so I can give some back if I have to..... I'm as amazed an anyone how these markets can continue higher with the pathetic advance declines, but apparently the markets are not really moving higher, what we're watching is an index rally exclusively. When the music stops, I'll be short in a blink..... Heck, I won't miss the ride.....<g>

My Best.
