I have written some DELL 40 leap puts that I sold a while ago. Good premium. That's it. I have used each DELL rally to sell into the strength since the Nov. earning report. I am very proud of myself calling DELL to meet the earning number this past Q. They will do so again for the next Q. This split essentially killed any chance of DELL being a high flyer this year. I sold some MSFT March 170 puts last Friday. Close it today at 8 1/8 for a quick 40% return and resold at 9 5/8 and 9 3/4. Plan to hold them until split. I got some March 170 calls at 1 1/4 at the close today. No big deal, just 10 contracts for fun. Even if I lose, that's less than 0.5 % I made in the last three sessions. So no big deal. Anyway, I will be about 80% MSFT one week before the split. I made some nice gains out of AOL's recent split. 30 points within a week...Anyway, do you guys really believe that INTC will warn? Since everyone is expecting INTC to warn, I will have to give it a concern. However, if INTC does warn, DOW 10 k will have to be postponed for a while. I play internet once in a while. Played AOL lots of times and that's my biggest gain from internet sector. ONSL and CMGI are my second and third biggest gain from this sector. I am trying to avoid this sector now because of the huge uncertainty. I made over 800% last year and I have just painfully realized that there is no way that I can achieve anything close to that number this year. I will settle for a 200% gain, which means that I need to have a double from now on until the end of the year. good luck, larry!
