Interesting! I wonder when these will be used routinely by academics rather than applying for time from national supercomputer centers?

Do you have any idea about the market? I imagine the ability to configure to order and upgrade easily will make this very attractive.

Engel, AMD investor and all,
I've heard that the guy who invented Linux, now still only 29, has gone to work for a company called Transmeta. Is this of any significance? Doesn't Transmeta make some kind of CPU or is supposed too?
