Does anyone know whether the two companies making digital VCRs have started shipping yet? Does anyone recall their names ( I believe Tiva was one). I'd like to give these companies a call. If there is any single factor that could make us all rich in the next few years, I believe this is it. I'm not sure it wouldn't take years for everyone to ramp up to meet the potential demand. Z

Duker,

Unit sales up 15 to 17% I can understand, but revenues up 9%? Do they really think that ASP's will hold that well? I am of the opinion that they will not and that there will be further grappling for market share through the summer that will push ASP's lower. Also if there is any slowdown in PC sales, the box makers will be pushing harder on their suppliers to come down on price, IMO.

The reason I bought SEG wasn't the basic drive business, but for the other lines of business that they have ventured in to, which I think will increase overall profitability. Now if they could just stop doing things like the microelectronics fab in Ireland......

Best regards,

Scott.
