Let me try to improve that table I posted last night. The dollar figure for revenue is much larger than the combined R&D + SG&A number, so I added three rows giving growth in dollars and a ratio of revenue growth dollars to combined expense growth dollars. You can clearly see the drop in the ratio in 1998. The growth is of course the current year total - last year's total. Also, keep in mind that at least the MetroFusion equity investment went into 1998 R&D. One of the other two startup equity investments could have been expensed there as well (total less than $3 million per the CC), but MRVC was intentionally vague on that.
