NEW YORK, March 10 (Reuters) - Shares in leading Internet companies firmed in early
U.S. pre-open trading Wednesday after Merrill Lynch initiated coverage of the groups's top
names with a bullish outlook, traders said.

Ahead of the regular-session open, Yahoo Inc. (Nasdaq:YHOO - news) traded at $171.50, up from $167.31, Amazon.com
Inc. (Nasdaq:AMZN - news) climbed to $136.00 from $129.94, and America Online Inc. (NYSE:AOL - news) traded at
$92.125 from $89.875.
