EL--- the way the inut issues have been running it seems AV alone would command a share price higher than CPQ--- granted no where near the amount of share would be initially out,,, but seems there is no value of AV as long as it is a PART of another company... hopefully the spin will come before the inuts hit the potty...

El: Analyst will be upgrading CPQ within a matter of weeks. Niles and Russel and other informed analysts who do their own homework in the market place already have it at STRONG BUY.

The renewing of the internet craze will also hasten the spin-off of AV (that is one of the criteria being used in the timing). Bottom line is that CPQ is still seen as a competitor of DELL - as a PC company. It will take time and skill to re-present it as 50% or less PC and 50% high margin services and high-end products, much of which will be internet-linked.
