My dad and some of his friends used to go down to Mississippi in late winter for a week or so to fish, drink beer, etc. Anyway, they'd come home with this huge haul of catfish and other assorted marine life. They's freeze the fish and then have a big fish fry in the summer. If we were lucky, one guy would show up with Lake Michigan smelt that melted in your mouth. Good stuff.

We used to fish a lot on the Rock River right after the ice broke. Channel catfish and crappie to die for.

Yum yum.

>>>>>Who's bringing the fish?<<<<<

I thought you and Gaugie were.

I can do any, but preferably not all, of the following: 1. Dessert (cake or pie) 2. Potato salad. 3. Homemade bread or rolls. 4. Cole slaw. 5. Beverages. 6. Homemade ice cream. 7. Clean and fry fish someone else caught. 8. Hot dogs and hamburgers for those who really don't care for fried fish. 9. Cleaning up afterward. 10. Mucho paper plates and plastic ware.

fish fry?>>
Sounds good to me. Who's bringing the fish?

I'll bring the fish. My bro-in-law is a Wheezecoonskin DNR agent who has a license to have a fish shocker and (more better) to use the damn thing. No car batteries on a dark night for him, you betcha.

But it would probably be easier for you guys just to come up here. Every restaurant in the state has a fish fry on Friday night, and most of them are good. Some are incredible.

Ish, where are you?
