I don't care what CPQ IR says, I just don't think CPQ stock price would have dropped from $51 to $31 in a month during which the overall stock market hasn't done too poorly if there is not something going on which is significantly worse than prior expectations...

Not to say CPQ won't be a HUGE winner over the next 12 months, just that something stinks in Denmark.

I think the rumour mongerers are winning the near-term battle. When a comment like - its 50-50 whether CPQ meets its earnings can be viewed as a negative influence on a stock that has already corrected more than 37% from its high is amazing and on a stock already corrected 21% since its sales (not earnings) were discussed two weeks ago.
