I don't believe Cisco has ever acknowledged NN as competition. Perhaps you'd rather put NN in the "start-up" category. They do mention that threat.

The reality is NN got GlobalOne. Within the industry it's generally believed that Sprint will give access to Cisco. But, they've not awarded the core and their taking so long to decide is significant.

As you pointed out with the NT AT&T announcement, news has many layers of meaning. The ability to read between the lines may decide who wins and who loses.

Incidentally, CeBIT is next week. This is the largest technology show in Europe and a traditional platform for highlighting new products.
