Monsanto Vice Chairman Reynolds to retire

ST. LOUIS, March 10 (Reuters) - Life sciences firm Monsanto Co. said Wednesday that Robert Reynolds would retire as vice chairman effective April 30.

Reynolds, 55, who has worked for Monsanto for more than 30 years, shares responsibilities for operational efficiencies, cost controls and financial performance of the company, among other things.

At Monsanto, Reynolds has served as vice president of North American agricultural operations, vice president of the crop protection products division, and managing director for Latin America. He was named vice president of international operations in 1994 and became vice chairman in 1997.
