The company does not do that much to present itself as an Internet company or other hot momentum play. For longer term investors who want to be able to trust management, that is good. But until news comes out, its not good for momentum or short-term investors who are anxious to see their stocks double in a few days. I tend not to trust what management of ANY company tells investors but the approach Navigant management has taken appears to be well grounded (maybe that's not good in this market). No wild claims about how the company will build an Internet empire that will rival the wealth of many countries or how giving away service on the Internet somehow makes sense.

Navigant could grow sales extremely fast - offer 50% off first time travel bookings on the Internet - similar to Amazon's give-aways and selling books for 20% their cost of operations. Hey, maybe we should suggest that to management. The analysts would love it because it would duplicate Amazon's proven formula for stock appreciation success. They could come out with some fresh hype about every week - "We just agreed to pay Yahoo!, Lycos, and Microsoft's MSN for the right to advertise on their portals - see, we know how to spend money as well as the Internet darlings. Our sales are now growing more rapidly and we have lined up $1 billion in debt to finance the give-aways." That is what this company needs - forget about outdated notions of accounting and value - time to join the Internet hit parade!
