Actually I always use Limit orders but this thing was moving so fast, and DATEK took forever (relative to this stock) to fill. Actually, if I was stiking with datek I might use this technique again on these $1 300% stocks because my limits never seem to catch (though I may need to put them in earlier).

Anthony,
On a quick one like ARTE, can you...through your broker basically get ANYTHING without any problem? By the time I call, and they phone to check if they can get it (ones like this are never on the list) the move is O-ver. Or are people just selling it without checking?

Anthony,

Have you checked out AVNT lately. Another S-3 registration yesterday, insiders selling 1,256,005 shares. Not that significant based on total outstanding of 33,256,253. What is interesting is that these shares are being sold by interHDL, Inc. shareholders, and presumable are the shares given interHDL employees when AVNT bought interHDL.

What is also significant is that every shareholder listed is registering every share they own.

Also appears as if the hoped for out of court settlement is gone, as the trial date has been set for Oct. 12, 1999.

Any opinions you have on shorting at these levels (16's) would be appreciated.
